I created this gallery as a sort of online portfolio for my photos; if some of the older ones look familar, it's because I've actually been a DeviantArt member since 2003 - just working under a different alias. Because my original gallery is so old, I wanted to make a new, seperate and more ' public ' one rather than going through the old and deleting 6 years of unrelated Deviations. I chose to stay on DeviantArt because, in my opinion, it's one of the best art communities out there. It's also much better at connecting you with people then your own website.

I am an author in training, an artist and a photographer (all of the amateur variety), but for now this gallery will only showcase photography and some prose. My favourite photographic subjects are horses and live music, although I'm also pretty keen on other animals and nature in general. I write in the fantasy genre.

I absoloutly adore animals and currently own 1 horse, 2 Roborovski hamsters, 3 rats, 2 cats and have another horse on loan. I am a supporter of The Countryside Alliance, World Horse Welfare (formerly ILPH), Redwings Horse Sanctuary, the Shire Horse Society and the Sherlock Holmes Society Of London. I am, however, vastly anti-Peta.

As you may have noticed from the name, I am a bit of a Sherlock Holmes nerd (Ms Winter is my favourite character, apart from the man himself of course), so I'm rather pleased to be creating this gallery on what is, according to some sources, his 155th birthday.
I told you I was a geek! :P

The first 10 people who comment on this journal will get a sketch, free. However, in return, you must offer 10 free sketches in your own journal. Offering 10 free sketches in return would be AWESOME OF YOU. But don't stress it if you can't. I'll still do one for you. If you've already done 10 Free Sketches, you still qualify.

01 - I will NOT draw your request until I see this in your journal.
02 - In your comment, include a link to a reference picture of the character you want me to draw. Or write me a description.
03 - Only one character per person is preferred, Remember, this is FREE.

04: I would much much much prefer to draw equine characters only - horses, Unicorns, whatever - but I will attempt other creatures ... absolutely no people, though.

Wow, thanks ever so for the comment! :)

I love your equine shots. That's not to say the concert series aren't lovely also, but as a person with two horses after having been away from the lifestyle for a loooong time I really just wanted to say thanks for sharing pictures of the four-hooved lovelies. Great snaps.

Aw, well thank you for taking the time to let me know - it's very much appreciated, and I'm very glad that you like them. :)

Love your gallery! I always wanted to do concert shots, but bring in my Nikon D80 would be hazardous and a point and click camera wouldn't do it. I just recently went to The Mayhem Festival (Slayer, Manson,Behemoth, Killswitch, Bullets for My Valentine, Black Dalia, All That Remains...more)and I ended up with 3 big guys landing on my head when a pit opened up in front of me! Lucky I didn't have my camera! Anyway, great work!

Thank you! Mm, I understand your fears - I recently attended a gig at the Underworld in Camden, and one of the vocalists chucked beer all over myself and my DSLR. D: I managed to protect it from the worst of it, but the on/off switch keeps jamming now. D'oh!

Ooooh I am SO envious of you for seeing Behemoth! How are they live? Hope you weren't too badly hurt in the pit, sounds painful!
